Take a Walk in Los Angeles

There is a lot of history and culture to be seen here, so let’s take a walk down the sunny bay that is Los Angeles, and discover the interesting experiences it has to offer.

The Walking Tours

Walking tours take visitors on an exploration of the rich history and architecture of downtown Los Angeles. To celebrate 35 years of the walking tours program, some special events and tours are being organized this year. Events include the likes of a Walking Tour Instagram Contest, in which visitors participating in any of the tours can upload their pictures on Instagram, out of which a winning picture will be chosen every week. The winner will get a pair of free passes for a tour of their choice.

Popular Tourist Destinations

The Modern Skyline Walking Tour provides the experience of a lifetime. The various skyscrapers and public plazas, buzzing with life and adorned with public displays of artwork, are just some of the aspects of the city one can view. Famous tourist destinations you’ll come across in a walk down Los Angeles include Beverly Hills, laced with five-star restaurants, parks, and media centers, not to mention the residencies of various movie stars.

Hollywood, a hub of global entertainment, is also situated in L.A. The popular Hollywood Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard is a must-see for all visitors. There is also Pasadena, home to famous stadiums, including the Rose Bowl, and educational institutions as well as world-class restaurants. Another experience not to be missed is a visit to the Santa Monica Beach, a naturally beautiful location that is known to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The best way to know a city is definitely through its culture, and Los Angeles has a variety of it to offer. From theatre, dance and music to museums, public art and parks, Los Angeles has it all.

One of the must-see indoor performances is the LA Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. In the line of art and museums, popular attractions include the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Getty Center. A popular trend for art walks in Downtown and Venice Beach, among other venues, also calls for the attention of all art lovers out there.  When it comes to the movie industry, there are just too many studios and sets to go to.

The city of Los Angeles is packed with all sorts of entertainment and loads of diverse activities to cater for every tourist’s needs, no matter where their interests lie. Apart from being a city to visit for its various attractions, it’s an ideal place to start your career in arts or sports, and has quite a few excellent institutions to prove its reputation. The city itself defines cultural diversity, promotion of arts, and luxurious living. The walk through Los Angeles is packed with variety and surely won’t disappoint anyone looking for a great vacation.
