Sizzling Seattle International Dance Festival

 

This year, Khambatta Dance Company (KDC) will be celebrating their 25th anniversary during the Seattle International Dance Festival. As a result, top performers from KDC will be part of the dance festival, and will entertain the audience throughout the first week.

The dance festival is a fun event for the whole family. Art-on-the-fly is the kick-off extravaganza for the dance festival. Art-on-the-fly blends urban dance performances with flash mobs. Artisan craft fair, food fair, and games for children will be part of Art-on-the-fly kickoff. This outdoor event is a must-see part of the international dance festival.

From June 12 to June 27, evening performance series will be conducted by a variety of national and international artists. The focus will be on contemporary dance, with the main theme being the interactive engagement of the audiences. The festival will conclude with a continuation of KDC’s top performances.

The Threshold Institute will conduct five days of intensive dance classes in contemporary dance, during the festival. Please note that the classes are for intermediate and advanced dancers. The fee to attend the dance course is $350.

Tickets: The event price tickets range from free to $85.
