Sizzling Salsa Festival in Phoenix

Copper Sky Regional Park is located in Maricopa County near Phoenix. The place provides an excellent escape from busy city schedules and hosts events throughout the year for families to spend leisure time together. The park features two interactive playgrounds, tennis courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, softball fields, a lake and much more.

What can you expect from the event

The salsa festival is Maricopa’s largest event. The festival has been part of Maricopa tradition since 2006. The event features a salsa cooking competition by well-known chefs from the region. People get to vote for the winner after tasting the salsas made. The party contains live entertainment and games for the entire family. Little Pepper Zone is a section with games, inflatable rides and variety of bouncers for the kids.

There will be commercial vendors to satisfy the Mexican appetite of the visitors. Guests can indulge themselves in traditional Mexican food and drinks while relishing in the main stage entertainment programs. Be sure to bring a blanket to attend the programs in the Great Lawn Amphitheater. Enjoy traditional and contemporary Mexican, Cuban and Latin American music from Barrio Latino and Havana Soul. Fiesta Mexicana Dance Company will perform a variety of old-fashioned Mexican shows to the delight of the patrons.

Tickets: The admission charge for the event is free. A minimal fee is charged for certain festival activities. For Little Pepper Zone, the admission fee is $5 per child (3 years and above) and it comes with unlimited playtime.

Event Dates: The event happens on March 28, 2015 from 3 pm to 7 pm while the salsa tasting happens from 3 pm to 5 pm.
