Rocking Comicpalooza This Season

From famous writers and critics to surreal cosplayers to legendary WWE superstars, Comicpalooza has got it all. It is an annual multi-genre event slash comic-con featuring comics, games, films and more. A little history about it: the first Comicpalooza was held on 2008 with just a small gathering of local comic artists with just a couple of tables but now it is the biggest assembly of enthusiast and industry leaders in Texas.

This year they are inviting famous guests like Jason Isaacs better known as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, WWE legend Sting, Star Trek star George Takei, Jeremy Renner a.k.a Hawkeye in the Avengers and Marvel Comics chairman Stan Lee just to name a few.

Comicpalooza will be held this coming May 22-25 in conjunction with Memorial Day weekend. It will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, the same venue since 2010. It will be a four-day gathering of fanatics from all over the globe sharing their interests and passions. Because it's just not the usual comic convention, one can expect a wide range of activities, like board games, workshops, RPGs, panels, cosplays and a lot more.

As of now, pre-registration is open. General admission, which covers the four days, costs $60 for people of ages 13 and above, $12 for kids 6-12 years old and free for toddlers 5 and below. The VIP pass is $200, the Jeremy Renner VIP pass is $450, and the Gotham Mega pass is $700. There are also single-day passes. Registration can be done online on the Comicpalooza official website or just call 1-888-695-0888.

For those who come a long way from home, worry not as there are hotel reservations that can be made online. All of the hotels are walking distances from the venue, of course for the convenience of the guests.
