Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas at Bellagio
Bellagio Resort and Casino is located directly on the Las Vegas Strip. The design for the hotel was inspired by architecture in Bellagio, Italy. Mirage Resorts built the resort under the direction of Steve Wynn, who conceived the idea. The resort and casino is spectacular throughout the year boasting magnificent dining opportunities, exciting casino fun and dancing fountains. However, at Christmas Bellagio is the shining star upon the highest bough. Visitors are invited to, “Have yourself a merry little Christmas,” at Bellagio’s this Christmas.
Christmas Tree: Residents and Las Vegas visitors alike delight at the Bellagio Christmas tree each year. The 42 foot tree is decorated with 2,500 ornaments and approximately 7,000 white LED lights. Martha Stewart and her design tree previously tackled the decoration for this grand tree, which serves as a Christmas centerpiece for the marvelous structure located in the atrium.
Conservatory and Botanical Gardens: The conservatory and botanical gardens contain over 28,000 beautiful poinsettias. A model train chugs through a chocolate village to the delight of young and old. Twin animated snow globes showcase the winter wonderland, standing 12-foot in stature. A polar bear is dressed in 12,000 white carnations. The display is free. Fine Dining: Bellagio offers several fine dining opportunities. Le Cirque serves contemporary French cuisine. Jasmine is a romantic lake view restaurant providing a lunch buffet during the Christmas holiday season. Michael Mina, an award winning chef from Egypt, prepares seafood, vegetarian and seasonal dishes in a restaurant with his name. Chef Julian Serrano delights the palette of diners at Picasso, a recipient of the AAA Five Diamond award for 13 years. Steak lovers will feast at Prime Steak in a setting of Tiffany blue. Synchronized Dancing Fountains: The quarter mile long lake in front of the Bellagio is home to splendid dancing fountains. At Christmas, the dancing fountains are synchronized to Christmas carols, filling the area with music and making, “the Yule-tide gay.” There is no charge to view the dancing fountains.
