Haunted Hermann Park: Ghost Tour, Train Ride, & More!

Beware: Houston is Haunted! If you are traveling to Houston during October or any weekend in the future, be sure to participate in the Houston Ghost Tour! The 100-year-old Hermann Park is the home of the Houston Ghost Tour. The tour is open daily during October and during weekends year round.

The tour guides will introduce you to the tales of the Old West and the Civil War. They will tell you all about the Civil War cemetery that used to be located on the grounds of the park. The Miller Outdoor Theater is haunted also! An opera singer died on stage, and she continues to haunt it today. You might find yourself wanting to roll down the hill where a number of people have died. There are numerous unexplained deaths, mysterious superstitions, and unexplained paranormal activity.

Tour guides include Danny Thomas, Eterna Shadowz, Morticia Manson, and Eve Hallows. These entertainers will hold your attention captive as they weave the tales of Houston’s history for you and the other guests. Tales of the Civil War and the Old West are skillfully told. These actors will keep you on edge as they perform!

Even if you are in doubt that you will run into a ghost, the Civil War and Old West history alone make this destination a top tourist spot that you should not miss! It is an interactive entertainment destination that is appropriate for all ages. Just be aware that you might encounter a ghost or two along the way!

Prices for the tour's tickets range from $7-$22 and kids get a discount! Don’t forget to buy the T-shirt as a souvenir of your visit. Reservations can be made for group visits also.

Hermann Park is a great place to spend your day. After the ghost tour, be sure to go take a ride on the Hermann Park Railroad! The train travels a 2 mile circuit with stops at popular destinations within the park. You can also tour Hermann Park via pedal boat!
