Cool Ice Skating Winter Event in Santa Monica

Downtown Santa Monica is an excellent place for shopping, dining and entertainment and it is just a stone’s throw away from the Pacific Ocean. Every holiday season, Downtown Santa Monica brings a little ice-skating to the sunny beachside. ICE at Santa Monica is an annual event that happens at the corner of 5th Street and Arizona Avenue. The event helps the people of Santa Monica to experience winter fun, while not needing to withstand bitter cold. The rink is a large 8,000 square foot space near the beach. There is also a small 400 square foot area for younger children. It is a great place to celebrate the holidays with family.

ICE is known for being one of the region’s most popular skating destinations. It is a favorite activity location for friends, families, or those in need of a little wintertime activity, There is also an adult co-ed broomball league to sign up for at $500 per team.

ICE offers season passes, and also caters to special events like birthdays or holiday parties. There is also a discounted food stand for hot drinks and snacks. If you are new to skating, they even offer skate lessons at a price. The rink is open for all ages to enjoy and experience winter fun.

Admission fee: Prices to ICE $12 for skates and $5 for lockers.

Ice Hours:

Monday-Thursday: 2 - 10 pm,

Friday: 2 pm - midnight,

Saturday: 11 am - midnight, and

Sunday: 11 am - 10 pm.

The event ends on January 19, 2015.
