Check out Vivacious Varekai in San Diego

Varekai is a Cirque du Soleil production. Originally, the theatrical drama was first screened in Montréal in April 2002. Varekai stands for "wherever" in the Romani language. The term is renowned among the gypsies, as it depicts their life and nature as lifelong roamers. Varekai is about a nomadic soul and its explorations in the unknown.

The Greek legend Icarus is the hero of the story. The story begins where Icarus' legend ends. After Icarus loses his wings and falls from the sky, the story of Varekai starts. Icarus is turned into a young man while falling down. The young man lands in a lush forest, full of magic and fascinating creatures.

The young man then goes through extraordinary experiences in the woods. The adventures are unique. The young man feels glad that he had the luxury of such experience in the unknown forest and rediscovers his zest for life. As expected of a Cirque du Soleil production, the show is full of straps, hoops, juggling and circus games.
