Boo at the Zoo Event in the Bronx

Halloween is a wonderful event enjoyed by kids and adults. New York is a great Halloween destination for visitors. The Bronx Zoo is a cool place to visit with kids of all ages and is popular among families and tour groups, especially during Halloween season. If you have never been to the Bronx Zoo, you surely need to go for the ‘Boo at the Zoo’ event. This enthralling event concludes on 2nd of November.

The Bronx Zoo is one of the largest metropolitan zoos in North America. The park covers over 250 acres of land in New York. The city of New York allocated the land in 1898 to the New York Zoological Society. The land was allocated so that the society could construct a park to preserve animals. One of the main attractions of the Bronx Zoo is the twenty-two full-sized sculpted animals near the Rainey Memorial Gate.

You can now enjoy the Halloween tradition in New York with delightful animals, as some of the Bronx Zoo's creepy inhabitants, including bats, rats, owls and leopards are waiting to meet you. There are numerous Halloween activities inside the zoo during the Halloween weekend. Families can enjoy special Halloween-themed activities including magic shows, spooky stories, costume parades, creature chats, Broadway at Boo and musical hayrides. There is also trick-or-treating in certain areas of the zoo.

Admissions are free if kids come in their Halloween costumes (that is a savings of $20). It is a great chance to enjoy an outdoor weekend while the weather is still warm enough.

Tickets: The event is free for members and they get a discount offer for the Dinosaur safari ($3).
